Buying for an organisation
Request an invoice.
Until today the only way to buy anything here was to connect a browser wallet and send USDC on Base. That is a fine route if you already hold USDC and custody it yourself. It is not a route a company has: there was no invoice to book against, no reference for your accounts-payable system, and no counterparty named on a document. This is the other lane, and it exists for every service above $149.
Tell us the service, your organisation and what you need scoped. You get an invoice with a reference number on this page immediately, and we follow it with the formal copy and a written scope. Nothing is owed until that scope is agreed, and asking does not commit you to anything.
At or below $149 the wallet checkout is genuinely the faster route and there is nothing worth raising a purchase order for, so the three cheapest services stay one click on their own pages and are not listed here. The invoice lane starts at $299.
Raise an invoice
Four fields are required and four are optional. The invoice appears on this page as soon as you submit.
What your finance function will ask, answered here
Who is the counterparty?
Liam Lakevold, co-founder, contracting personally. Kerne has not incorporated a company and is not in the process of incorporating one. That is a decision taken on 14 August 2026, not a step still pending. This engagement is a services agreement with the named individual above, personally, and no governing law is asserted. Who that is and the terms are both published, and neither is buried.
Is there tax on this?
No sales tax, VAT or GST has been charged, because there is no registered entity anywhere to register for any of them and no tax identifier to quote. If your finance function requires a tax invoice from a registered company, Kerne cannot issue one today, and you should know that now rather than after a purchase order exists.
Are we stuck contracting with a person forever?
You are not stuck with a personal counterparty forever. The agreement carries a novation clause: if and when a Kerne entity is incorporated, the agreement transfers to it on the same terms, with your consent given in advance in the agreement itself. Personal execution is not something invented for you. The external security audit was contracted the same way, with the founder signing as an individual and no entity anywhere in the document, and the firm accepted it.
How does payment actually settle?
In USDC on Base, to the one address published at kerne.fi/transparency. The invoice carries the same address, the chain, the token contract and the exact amount. Match the address character by character against that page before you send anything, and if any document, email or message ever shows a different one, do not send and tell us. We do not take bank transfers or cards today, and saying so is more useful to you than a payment method we cannot actually accept.
Do we get the invoice by email?
You get it here, on this page, the moment you submit: print it or save it as a PDF. We keep our own copy and follow up with the formal one from liam@kerne.fi. What we deliberately do not do is auto-generate a document at a public link or mail it unread, because a page under our own domain that renders whatever a stranger typed is a surface we are not willing to run. That decision costs a little convenience and it is the right one.
