Opal Fragments Leaderboard

Opal Fragments accrue every hour to every wallet that holds kUSD on Base. Mint at 1:1 with USDC, hold to earn, refer to multiply. Genesis Extended is the pre-token continuation window, and Season 1 standings are banked and unchanged: your fragment total at the snapshot on August 19, 2026 is what this window counts, and your share of the 5,000,000 KERNE community tranche of the fixed 50,000,000 KERNE allocation (5% of supply) grows with how early and how long you hold.

Founders Cap is open

Mint kUSD on Base and earn Opal fragments toward the 5,000,000 KERNE community tranche of the fixed 50,000,000 KERNE Genesis pool (5% of supply). Mint now to lock the 1.0x Final stretch multiplier, fixed for your wallet and applied to every fragment you accrue through the August 19, 2026 snapshot. kUSD redeems through the same module with a signed proof of reserves published every hour. Exit is not at par: the same tiered swap fee applies on the way out as on the way in, and how much can leave in a single transaction is on the reachable exit depth panel.

Sizing above the public cohort? The founding anchor tier is a separate, higher points floor granted by an executed anchor deposit letter, not a cohort a public mint can select. The rules are published at the Opal anchor tier and the deposit terms at the anchor terms.

Genesis Extended snapshotAugust 19, 2026

Fragments earned by the snapshot are permanent and lock in your share of the 5,000,000 KERNE community tranche of the fixed 50,000,000 KERNE allocation (5% of supply), whether or not you stay deposited after the snapshot. That share becomes $KERNE only at a token generation event. No token generation event is scheduled or guaranteed. The pool is a published policy commitment, not an escrowed on chain allocation, and no contract exists today that converts fragments into KERNE. If no distribution ever happens, fragments convert to nothing. What a fragment is worth, and what it depends on.

Audit status. Kerne has completed its first external audit. The Hexens final report published on July 31, 2026 and you can read it in full, with our response to every finding here. That is a review of five contracts at one commit, not a guarantee of safety. Minting is open: the patched Peg Stability Module completed its cutover on July 10 and is live. The separate WETH vault runs earlier bytecode than the reviewed commit, which is why deposits into that WETH vault are closed. If you would rather lock the current Opal multiplier now, without moving any funds, register your intended mint in the commit queue.

Referral Bonus
+10% / +20%
Referrer / referee join boost
Conquest Boost: +50%

Hold USDe or sUSDe on Base and every kUSD you hold earns 50% more fragments, on top of your Genesis multiplier. Bridge your Ethena position over and earn on both.

LP Boost: +25%

Provide kUSD/USDC liquidity on Aerodrome and the LP leg earns 25% more fragments than holding the same size passively. The fragments are the whole of the return: that pool is thin and has been idle, so trading fees are not a reason to enter it.

Two-Sided Referrals

You earn 10% of every referee's base accrual, and your referee earns a +20% join boost for their first 30 days. Both sides win.

Quests

Two one-time grants of 250,000 fragments each: one for referring 3 wallets, one for holding a staked or LP position through a full epoch week. Both require a position of at least 100 kUSD.

The hold grant can no longer be completed before this snapshot. It needs 168 continuous hours, the last hourly award runs at 19:00 UTC on August 19, 2026, so a qualifying position had to be open by 19:00 UTC on August 12, 2026. Nothing was changed to close it; the clock ran out. The referral grant is still open, at the price stated above: 3 separate wallets each holding at least 100 kUSD. A position opened now still accrues every hour until the snapshot.

Updated August 12, 2026. The quest figures above render from the same constant the accrual engine awards from, so this card cannot state a reward the cron does not pay. Both grants were cut to 250,000 fragments and gated behind a position of at least 100 kUSD on August 6, 2026, published that day in the token disclosure; this page continued to show the earlier figures until today. No rule changed today, and no grant already awarded was reduced or clawed back.

Since August 4, 2026, the founder wallet and the protocol bot are excluded from converting fragments into KERNE. They keep accruing and keep their rank above, but they claim none of the allocation: the 5,000,000 KERNE community tranche divides across the eligible figure only. That does not make a distribution more likely, and it is not a promise of one. The rule in full, with a calculator you can check.

Since August 6, 2026, the fixed 50,000,000 KERNE allocation is split. Fragments divide the 5,000,000 KERNE community tranche, on the rule above, with no minimum. The other 45,000,000 KERNE is the scale tranche, divided by dollar-hours on the part of a position above $100,000, with no multiplier of any kind. No position has ever qualified, and if none ever does that tranche is not allocated rather than shared out here. The scale tranche, with the live qualifying count. Why we split it, with the arithmetic that forced it.

Opal Fragments are an off-chain accrual tracked by Kerne against the on-chain kUSD supply on Base. Genesis Extended fragments lock at the August 19, 2026 snapshot as a share of the 5,000,000 KERNE community tranche of the fixed 50,000,000 KERNE allocation (5% of supply). That share becomes $KERNE only at a token generation event, which is not scheduled or guaranteed, and no contract exists today that converts fragments into KERNE; see what a fragment is worth, and what it depends on.
